DotA - Does your GF hate this too?

Have you ever been dumped by your girl while playing DotA? Can't reply on your gf's text messages and calls cause you're busy on money shotting? Sounds funny right?

Most of my 'GGmates' have experienced, or should i say, experiencing this gf-vs-DotA matter. Is it because girls hate war games? Or maybe because they don't play any games at all, except for CityVille and FarmVille and other sucking society games? Or maybe, you're paying more attention on DotA than your gf. Friendly advice, use your brains, Dude!

One of my misfortuned 'GGmates', was dumped by her girlfriend for the reason, he can't be disturbed cause he's playing DotA. Can't blame the girl, cause would you accpet you're being driven away with these lines; "Can't you see I'm playing!?" or "We're gonna engage a clash, please don't disturb me!". Lucky for him, he still managed to win her back, after courting her again, for a month.

Here's another example of ignore-your-gf-for-DotA:

GF: "Hi, What are you doing?"

BF: "Uh, hi, I'm...(Shoot! I'm playing!) I'm just charging my cellphone"

GF: "Well, I wanna--"

BF: "Oh no, I'm lowbat right now, can you please call later?"

GF: "What?! Lowbat? But you said--?"

BF: "OK, bye!, Mwuah!"

Dude, you just said you're charging your CP!

So, are you one of them? Will you place your mind on playing DotA, so you would ignore anyone who disturbs you, even your gf? I tell you once again, USE YOUR BRAINS, DUDE!

Well, here are some tips from our 'GG BFs', based from their disastrous experiences, to avoid those hilarious incidents:

1. You're low on battery.

You could rely on this, really. When your gf's calling you, tell her you're lowbat and you can't respond to her texts and calls right now. Don't end the call yet, tell her you'll gonna recharge your cp, then just turn it off. She, for sure, has a common sense, so she won't get mad. An easy trick but very reliable.

2. Have someone ready to text for you.

Any friends with you, or just another watcher, will do. Ask him to read the message (if you're really, REALLY busy), then tell him what to reply. If you have a signature text (e.g. jejemon texting), simple replies like "im ok" or "i luv u 2" will do. Just don't make the reply message complicated so you won't get busted.

3. Pay for that 'pilot'.

If worst comes out, that you've been caught playing while you have a scheduled plan or something, just grab a player, and let him sit and continue the game. Tell your girl that you're not the one playing, and you're just controlling it cause the 'pilot', is just asking for assistance. If she doesn't buy it, at least it would lessen her anger. Wait! Don't forget the fee for the rent, or your 'pilot' gonna wash some plates.

4. Convince her to try to play DotA.

Make her want to play. Tell her the best things you can say about DotA, plus its easy to play. If you reached first base, all you have to do is, assist her (will ya place your hand on top of hers?), pick the most newb-friendly hero, Razor (Duh.), then teach her the basic moves and items. Instant bonding moments for the two of you if she liked playing, then less hassle whenever she calls, texts, or approaches while you're playing.
